The Thirtieth Tablescape Thursday

For my fifty- third birthday my daughters hosted a party for me with about 15 of my closest girlfriends. It was a magical evening. My son in-law and my youngest daughters boyfriend, at the time, along with my daughters, prepared the meal and served us in style. This is a little stroll down memory lane, so please bear with me.

My girls wore white shirts and black pants and did an awesome job of taking care of mine and my guests every need. My eledest daughter Amanda smiles for the camera below.

Don't the boys look great in their chefs hats and shirts. The food was superb and the service beyond compare!

For a little something for my guests to take home I had the local bakery make these darling rooster sugar cookies.

At each place setting there was a small frame with different words in each one, like-spontaneous, lively, friendly, adverturous, etc. I instructed each guest to sit at the seat where the word in their frame most fit their personality. It was a lot of fun and sparked great conversation.

The dishes that I used for my birthday dinner five years ago are the same dishes I have used for my tablescape this week.

The Eiffel Tower that you see below I purchased at Target. The card that rests on the structure was sent to me by a friend who spent her honeymoon at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas. I just love it.

It doesn't show up all that well on the black and white polka dot overlay, so I decided to try and shoot it in better light, so that you can see how cute it is.

I'm sorry that my lighting wasn't very good, but these are the dishes that I get out when I need a Paris fix, without actually going there.

These plates put me in the mood for a trip to Paris. Sure hope Mr. Honey finds a dream job, because until he does, these plates will just have to do! L.O.L.
